The day was filled with laughter, smiles, and family bonding as we worked our way thru the multi-leveled virtual park. We all spent endless hours riding virtual rides, blowing gigantic bubbles, playing interactive video games, and balancing on the tight rope obstacle course. Last month, I took my 3 year old niece, 11, 13, and 16 year old son to this amazing establishment.
Without a doubt, Wonderworks is an indoor interactive amusement park that is sure to delight every toddler, kid, teen, and adult! There is an activity to meet everyone’s thrilling needs. The lobby was kept relatively empty, but after a few days, the indoor attraction area was packed like a can of sardines like a regular summer season with the kind of tourists that were already uninterested in wearing masks or washing their hands.Have you ever had your beach plans canceled due to unexpected nasty weather? Are you looking for wholesome entertainment that is sure to please people of all ages? Do you seek out activities that are family friendly? If you answered yes to all these questions, start planning your trip to Wonderworks now! They did the minimum to meet state regulations after a short lockdown. Pay is bad for how great most of the employees are, and if you're interested in sticking around full-time, you'll get put in a supervisor position for a minimal pay increase. The biggest issue is that guests will usually fly off the handle for enforcing simple rules like not taking invalid coupons, height and weight restrictions, or last entry times. Most of the employees are very good at entertaining and being positive for the guests, so it creates a fun work atmosphere.

Its great if you have customers flowing and stuff to do, but when it's dead and corporate expects you to clean the same attraction 14 times, it's a little ridiculous.ĭays are either very slow, where you'll be told to clean the same things repeatedly and the MOD will send admissions home early, or essentially non-stop in the spring and summer. Mostly it was for not cleaning, without listening if you tried to explain that everything WAS cleaned. When the owner or corporates employees came, it tended to shake up the place and get everyone on edge since they would get onto you for seemingly random things.

You'd also occasionally get these things called 'WonderBucks' for outstanding behavior (working an exceptionally busy shift, picking up shifts, going above and beyond for cleaning duties, etc) which could be used for free concession stand items, a wonderworks uniform-compliant jacket (very comfy), and even a full shift-worth of paid time off. Management were very understanding and flexible with schedules and hours.
I also requested I be put at the box office and concession stand, and was subsequently placed there more than the rides.
I requested I not be placed on the 1st floor because running the rides on that floor were very anxiety-inducing for me, and I was rarely placed there. Got to work with some amazing people, and for the most part if you show that you enjoy working at a certain area, you'll be more likely to be put there. Worked as an exhibit attendant, giftshop/box office attendant, and concession stand attendant.
